Does anyone know of a way to change the highlighting color/ outline in NIR to the white/yellow that is used in BGW/PTW on both 2D/3D screens? I'm colorblind and can't see it at all in NIR 2D and have a difficult time seeing it 3D..

Thanx for your help

Sure. You would have to edit the ICONS1D.BMP and ICONS2D.BMP.

It would be more than a five minute job but would not be that difficult as there is no anti-aliasing in the images - there is just the one shade of red to replace (thus the jagged edges). Depending on the bitmap editing program you used you could do it relatively easily by using the 'bucket fill' type tool to fill some of the areas of red with another colour, and then a brush tool for the stepped diagonal lines.

Or for a quick solution you could try and see if you could replace the NIR base images with the BGW/PTW ones. The only problem with that would be that the Russians would have red bases instead of green. I don't know if it would work or not due to the added Prussian bases in BGW/PTW but you never know.
