I've been wondering, whether it wouldn't be great to have only ONE movement points standard within the HPS nap titles![:D]
For me are the EC and CW games (Bill Peters') still the best reg. the mp rates.

Why it's so important? Playing the NRC (and unfortunately it's the case with Waterloo again) we all surely have encountered the problem with lacking the movement points to turn around / change formation.

For example: and no matter which side you're playing - Imagine you loose a melee. (Not too hard to imagine [;)]) You want to pull back the disordered units (i.e. 5 mp left for an inf battaillon) and form a new defensive line. You move one hex back (- 2 mp in the open/clear terrain) et voilla: there're only 3 mp left, where you can't turn back and face the enemy. All you can do, is to expose the flank or the rear for the next turn's assault and almost sure elimination.

It looks much better with the EC/CW standard. With the same situation, the disordered unit has 10 mp (-4 mp for retreating one hex back, and still 6 mp left for turning back and facing the opponent).

Is there any chance to bring the NRC and CWaterloo to the same standard?

Attention HPS,
the Master of Europe has spoken. Do what he says ;)
And by the way I agree with him.
Marechal Nowacki, where is my Gettysburg file?
