Napoleonic Wargame Club (NWC)

I got burnt on Take Two's Bull Run Game, so I'm leery of getting any new games at the moment. I've gone over the Matrix site and can't find it.

What are the tech specs for the game? In particular, what grahpics card do you need? I'm not inclined to buy a game, and then turn around and have to spend $120+ for a new fx card, just to play it.

Coupla things:

1: Per the website:

Windows 2000/XP
500 MHz CPU (200 MHz for low animation)
256 MB RAM (prefer 512MB) (128MB for low animation)
Direct X 7+
32 MB Video Card, DirectX 7 Compatible
Sound Card (Windows XP compatible)
CD-Rom
650 MB free Hard Drive space

They confirm elsewhere than ME and SE do NOT work consistently or well.

There's some work to be done on the game, but it is DEEP, COMPLEX, HISTORICAL, and very rewarding. Plus the developers seem committed to it.

2: Are you sure you meant Take Two Bull Run? Take Two (through the shell of Talonsoft, IIRC) published a rather bad Gettysburg game. The most recent Bukl Run game was from madminute games through Activision Value which, IMHO, was quite well done -- lack of MP notwithstanding.

Thanks, and you are right on the Bull Run game, I got the maker mixed up... and I meant the Mad Minutes game.

but, it sounds like Crown will work on this horse

After July is done (much to do), I'll have to order it.
