I have to point out that it happened to me twice it was impossible to look at replay (reading file error!)[:(!]
fortunatly it was possible to play my move each time!
it's in Waterloo full campaign (wide varriant) the 2nd phase: combined battles Ligny and Quatre-Bras
is there other ones in the same case
would it be a bug

Sometimes you have to delete the PBEMAIL.XXX AND PBEMAIL.YYY files to correct some problems. These files have no use, after you have played a turn. You should delete them before you try to play the next turn and use the replay.

Proper sequence is:

1. Player A gets file and cant watch replay.
2. Player A has to contact his opponent Player B who will need to delete HIS PBEMAIL .xxx and .yyy and CAMPAIGN .xxx and .yyy files.
3. Player B then does his turn again. Sends the files to Player A.

This is if Player A really wants to be able to see a replay.

If he doesnt care then he just tells Player B to delete his PBEM files for all future moves. Player A does his move, sends the file and then deletes HIS PBEMAIL files just to be on the safe side.

From what I am seeing the problem occurs after alot of turns have gone by. Thus you wont get it with Turn 1 of a game. You might get it with turn 20 though.

Not sure why it happens but deleting those PBEMAIL files on a regular basis for all of our games helps reduce the problem down to almost no occurance.

CAVEAT: dont try deleting the PBEMAIL and CAMPAIGN files during a turn. They are locked for use by the game and campaign engine respectively.

This should be on a FAQ board somewhere. I am going to copy this text for future posts.

Still better[:D]
i think my opponent did delete those holly files but this time that is my replay that i see so i've stopped it not to see my opponent's position
and if i don't look at replay it's normal, it's the new turn and i can play my move
i must say that never happened in Eckmuhl or NRC even in full campaigns
