Hello all fellows, would anyone please help me on how to do a campaign game? I tried it myself and couldn't quite get a good grasp on it.

The process is very easy. Start the campaign using CP_start.exe and that brings up the campaign dialog and select "START". follow the prompts to start whatever campaign you want, then you get a screen to choose sides and modes (like PBEM); then you get a text message, usually, about the campaign. When you continue, you get choices, usually from 1 to 3 choices and a description of those choices. If it is a PBEM game, it will end then end and save the file that you need to send to your opponent for his choices. The ONLY file needed to be sent is the campaign.cpf file, which you could name joe_vs_sam.cpf.

If you are playing vs the AI, the scenario starts.

When the scenario is completely finished, you might get another series of choices and you continue with the game.

Here's one with pictures...it's for 1776, but applies to these games as well:
