Scott - this is being worked on.

The Allied CoAs have been contacted. Its up to them to get the elections going in the Allied camp and follow through with the results of the election. Dont want to interfere with that process.

The Club Secretary position is next for consideration.

Rick,
You are very right.
Independance is a very important thing.
And I must say that the present president does not move in the right direction.

Exemple :
I made a post including a joke (about penguins)that was dirty.
That post was removed (wich I understand, and I don't contest that)
Then I received a mail telling me that if I did not behave correctly, some SANCTIONS could be taken over me. Isn't this rude Al ?
On the other hand,
another member posted in the "other topic" forum, a link towards a dirty joke:
http://www.wargame.ch/board/nwc/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=7108
Is that more appropriate ? Certainly, as we can telle because the post has not been moderated, and that the author certainly did not received a threatening mail.
On the other other hand (how many hands does that make ?)
The president himself made a politically incorrect post comparing muslims and nazis :
http://www.wargame.ch/board/nwc/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=7088
Has this post been moderated (by the president himself ?) : NO.
(note that the content of the various posts is not in cause)
However, that muslim/nazi post could be as much offendant for some readers than a dirty joke.

This is a serious matters. Bill Peters is not personnaly in cause. Anybody else could have been facing the same situation in his position. But it is a matter to be discussed acording to democratic rules, and there is a need to adopt more precise rules that could not leave place to interpretation, or leave room for arbitrary decisions.

Yours
Stephane

Shouldn't that <font color="orange">conflict of interest</font id="orange"> exclude him from having any role other than his personal vote (at that time) as a club member?

I agree,
Unless "Bill 1st the resignator" (I am beginning an endless series of humoristic nicknames for the president) changes his mind.
Also Crown of Glory should be added first to the ladder.
Two games are running already.
We should discuss quickly on HOW to integrate the game in the ladder.
The strategic system is different. This requires adaptation, maybe based upon the glory point achieved in the system.

yours

Please don't stephane.

There can sometimes be no distinction between what is humorous and what is meant to hurt another. The line can get blurred. This form of communication is absolutely imperfect and tends towards helping mistakes to happen. Mistakes that might be later regretted.

Hey folks can't we all settle down, personally I disagree with Bills deletion of Stephane's joke (I didn't find it funny), but it wasn't that bad. Can't we get on with the Club without trying to import our own personal values.

Yeah, Jeff and your name is indeed a curse among the Allied Armies but in a very positive way...for <i>you</i>.

It never even occured to me to think of it in those terms...which is odd when you consider that Austria is a <i>Catholic</i> Country.
