How about looking into adopting Hunter's two games. I don't have them anymore, but they were very fun, and can be used to create new scenario situations.

Hey, lets hear it from the other guys on this.

I like Frank's games too. I believe that in the 1809/1805 game that instead of playing the battles out using the game engine that you could use another grand tactical game.

What do you know about that Al? What are the Victory levels? Would we need to adopt new levels for this one?

Its definitely turn based. And its cheap too! His games are very affordable.

I made this one a sticky. Lets hear back from the guys on this one.

Could you help us out Al with adopting this one for the club? I liked his games. Really nice engine.

I did up his OOB for 1805.

You definitely can make scenarios for Eckmuhl/Wagram from this one. This series could be adopted as our current campaign game within the HPS titles are. Just consider it an alternate campaign engine.

Does anyone know of a site that has screenshots of this game series?

Who is selling the games? Matrix doesnt have either game on their website.

I own both of Frank's games as well, even though I don't own the version put out by Matrix Games. Frank certainly has shown that he has a commitment of support --and they're pretty much bug free.

I vote for it.

The game is listed "Campaigns on the Danube".

Click on GAMES, then click on NAPOLEONIC.

I have just had a look at the site, there are two napoleonics for digital download, very reasonably priced to.
There is:
Campaigns on the Danube 1805 & 1809
Crown Of Glory
Has anybody played these and do they cut the mustard with HPS?
I am going to download Campaigns on the Danube and have a wee dabble!![:)]

Gents
I am all for adding new games with the proviso that it doesnt dilute the Club into none existance.
How many individual clubs support ALL one periods games, answer NONE.
Officers with long memories (or was that mammaries[:I]) can remember the problems with HPS scoring against Battleground.

Even if some officers dont own the games being discussed "you dont have to be a chicken to know when an egg is bad"
One game at a time please, a points system that is equitable and lots of discussion.[;)]

Update: Al has declined the offer to promote this series via the Cabinet. If anyone else is interested in seeing this series added please contact us with the following info:

1. Game type: (operational - turn based)
2. Points format: tell us how you think that the game should be scored. Can it use the existing format? Major Victory? Draw? Tell us the victory levels. How should they correspond to the existing system? If they wont then how many points per level should be awarded to Victor and Vanquished?
3. Club support. Give us some idea of how many folks have the game or
who have shown an interest in playing it. While not totally critical we also dont want to have a war on our hands either.
4. Scenario names: if you can send us a list of scenarios. This will
help John Corbin out if he automates the club game forms. I do the same thing in the Panzer club when a new title comes out.

Otherwise we will not consider the game series for the club.

Yeah, don't have the game anymore, so I couldn't do a proper follow-up. Sorry.
