Gentlemen

While stumbling through ebay I came across the following DVD. Sergei Bondarchuk's War and Peace. It is stated to be 6 1/2 hours long, in Russian with English subtitles and multi regional. Has anyone seen this particular version and is it worth purchasing.

I have this DVD and I have heard that it is one of the most expensive movies shot in Europe. In Soviet Union everything was “freeâ€

Also from owning the DVD version of this classic going from that picture it looks like a copy. Unless it is another region apart from R 1 that is. If you don't mind that it's worth it anyway.[:)]

A month ago I purchased a Waterloo. It's been made in 1970, directed by Sergey Bondarchuk and it was a great movie. Immediately, I ordered a War and Peace (1967) from Amazon. Today I got a notification from post office that I have to pick up a package tomorrow.

This would be a sleepless night. But tomorrow I'll have a close look on Napoleon's greatest victory - the battle of Austerlitz.
