Indeed I was not serious. It's the British sense of humour thing.

I'll be back in action shortly.

My Dear Generalissimo,

I'm disappointed that I DIDN'T make your list of opponents to avoid[:p]. Perhaps it's time we met again?[;)]

I dunno. Turn my back a day and I get my name and my reputation sullied. The Duke of Piave indeed. Now if I had a title for each of my victories I'd need a separate webpage.[:)]

Paco. I don't know why I missed you off my "list of players to be avoided". In truth the list could be ten times that length. Maybe becuase we only crossed swords once whereas the others have consistently beaten me. You can indeed have the honour of beating me again....when you reach the top there is nowhere else to go - except maybe down again.[;)]Email me with a suitable venue.

Our one and only meeting (and at Vyazma, by Jove!) seems to have made a lasting impression on you. [:p]

Yes, this is our second encounter including Vyazma. In the multiplayer I cunningly guarded Smolensk and left the fighting to Ed and Anton - my only contribution was to lose 120 of Anton's guns when he went away on holiday. At Gzhatsk I'm fighting part of Dean's army.

The current campaign looks like it will be all over in a single battle and has left a marked impression on me. It will pass however.

Funny guy huh. Well when you've capitulated at Wagram then my militia will again cross pikes with your Guards.
