Scenario "097_Casteggio-Montebello-V1_HTH.scn" should have been named "097_Casteggio-Montebello-V1_SOLO.scn" as it is a SOLO scenario.

It is not a head to head scenario. Do not select this scenario in the DOR. John/Admin will eventually remove it from the database.

The Scenario list that shipped with the game is incorrect. The file name is wrong. The scenario title in the list is correct.

An updated Scenario list will be put into the first game update. The new scenario file (097_Casteggio-Montebello-V1_SOLO.scn) will be added as well. Unfortunately, the older scenario file will remain ... we cant remove files from folders in an update.

Note: will use existing scenario as a placeholder - with a note to look for the correct filename for Solo players.

AFAIK I saw this problematic already solved somewhere else by simply replacing the scenario with an empty scenario file with a description that states that it was replaced by scenario XY.
Although not perfect it's surely better than to leave this problem unsolved and a misleading scenario in the game.

Yes, I had to do that in Eckmuhl with a couple of the N.Italian scenarios. A "placeholder" file.

Battle of Rivoli (scenarios #056 - 062) PDT file - Night is at 1700 hours (as in first few lines of PDT file). Should be 1800.

PDT weather line shows 1900 as first turn of Night (1 hex LOS). Should be 1800.

Impact: Though the PDT file weather lines say Dusk begins at 1700 hours it actually will be Night turns with 1 hex LOS. Last turn of full LOS will be 1650.

This will get corrected in first update.

Routed French infantry in 3D view is in Line Formation rather than the usual "suave que peut" image. This issue has been reported to John Tiller. It is NOT happening in the Scenario Editor which is why I did not catch it. My Routed Unit's test was doing using the Editor. For the next game I am working on it will be done using the Main Program as well.

Followup: Ok - typed with John Tiller about this. It has to do with the fact that the Scenario Editor and the Main Program have differences in how they deal with the NATIONs (French, Austrian, etc) in the OBs.

The Main Program (in this case cpr.exe) is either hard coded or it follows the same formula as the Scenario Editor.

We only use French, Austrian and Russian in Campaign Marengo. There is no need for the other NATIONs.

I received an updated Main Program file (cpr.exe) that corrects the immediate problem but it might cause others to arise. So this issue is still OPEN. We want to be sure we catch as many of the graphics issues that might arise from this new change before we issue the update.

The good news: I did test out the other routed unit types per NATION and they looked fine. I am still continuing to do this and will update this part of the thread as I get more info.

Found several PDT files that have incorrect Night times in the header or in the weather lines. All updated and ready for inclusion in first update.

Impact: Not much. Some games might go into Night rather than Dusk but probably wont be a factor as many scenarios end before Dusk.

The 2D Normal Magnified View has issues with the terrain. Black area showing up instead of the terrain.

NOTE! This had to do with MY graphics files that I use as well as some of you out there. As I dont use this view much its not an issue.

The view is FINE when using the default graphics that came with the game.

If you are using a MOD for 2D graphics you might experience some issues.

In the Design folder there is an older edition of the Marengo leader list. It is called: Leaderlist-Campaign Marengo.pdf

Delete this file. The file called Campaign-Marengo-Leaders.pdf is the correct version. I will be inserting a "pointer" file in the place of the incorrect file for the next update.

Various leader images for both French and Allies are using "0" for the image number. This results in Bonaparte's picture being displayed.

Thanks to Bill Cann for catching this. One of the important checks I did for this game was the "L 2 4 0" and "L 3 4 0" checks which usually result in any leader image numbers being corrected. These slipped through the cracks.

OBs impacted (number of leaders for each)

1799-1-Magnano (7)
Arcole-Operation (2)
Marengo (1)
Mondovi (7)

I was wondering that myself....but forgot to say something. Also Melas' image doesn't display right either.

Thanks Scott, I updated the OB files for Marengo.oob and Marengo_Variant.oob with the correct leader number. No other OBs were affected. All used "120" for his image number.

1796-QOps-1-Aug-Wurmser-1.oob

The French sappers have a "5" at the beginning of the unit name. This was a 3D image number that was not deleted when I changed their image numbers during the review process.

In the 033 and 034 scenarios the Night turn length (120 minutes - 2 hours) is causing problems with the time value. Once Night starts it goes from 09:00pm to 10:60pm. This is because the Main Program (cpr.exe) was originally coded to only work with values from < or = to 60. John Tiller is going to update the Main Program so that it will allow higher values to work.

Anton Kosyanenko brought this to my attention. He has chosen to change the Night Turn length to 60.

In the update I am going to add in the correct PDT file so that anyone that does change the file will then have the correct turn length (120).

If you are playing this scenario and want to put it off until early December that is up to you. If you want to play on just know that the Time value is going to odd to read. You still will get reinforcements.

Bottom line: the only effect that this seems to be causing is an incorrect looking Time value. Frankly I would leave it as is and play on.
