Certainly looks good, but at least for me, as with all real-time games, I imagine it will become most unmanagable in short order once the action starts, and hence becomes a click-fest. [:(]

I agree, it seems the sort of game that looks very impressive at first glance but proves virtually unplayable. I suspect real-time gaming is only really viable with one or two ships or a mere handful of units.

Perhaps the best system is a turned-based game (with PBEM capability) where both sides plot their turn in advance but the computer then carries out both side's turn simultaneously. I hope that HPS will eventually adopt this sort of system - the existing "replay" feature should mean that it's something that could be incorporated without too much difficulty, even if only as an optional method of playing.

Rich White - of course you refer to Combat Mission which to me IS the way to go. While I dont like RTS much if there is a SPEED control then its quite manageable.

Rich H. - yes, for me the fingers are not what they used to be. However, with the games like Shogun, Medieval and the latest release Rome Total War they make managing the units quite easy. I hope that this game copies that style.
