In the campaign game, is there any way for one side to terminate the battle and accept a minor or major loss if the battle is going down the toilet? Maybe do this to preserve units/men for the next battle? I've played the Shenandoah Campaign and this situation occurred so we terminated the whole cam... |

I'd be honored to serve also. And would like to be on the same side (either) as Lt. Coyne.

We'd be interested. However, while I'm a union guy my partner would be a CSA guy .....a guy I brought into the club but he joined the CSA.... So the game would be classified as a maneuver if that makes any difference. Please let us know. You can send me a note to dburke2@ix.netcom.com General Doug B... |

Rick and I have been playing VG's "Civil War" for years. We talk on the phone all the time (almost daily when we're playing something) but we've never met. I convinced him to go a little more tactical since he likes the GBACW system so here we are. We warmed up with a demo game, he bought ... |

I'm thinking of getting back into the games after a LONG hiatus. I set up a practice email game, did the first sides turn just fine and then emailed the bte file to myself. When it's on my desktop and I click on it to open it, nothing happens and when it's in the game folder (GB in this case) a &quo... |

Hey Lars! Remember me? I've got a VASSAL game going of The US Civil War with Jeff Coyle, the creator of the VASSAL module. We've actually done a lot of face to face stuff in the past as he used to live just a few miles from me. Fun game but I still like Victory Games' Civil War better and have a VAS... |

I think the fatigue set up is backwards. Getting from 700 to 500 should be a whole lot easier then getting from 100 to zero. Fatigue also represents the degrading of fighting ability by the loss of officers/leaders under the brigade leader level and those guys are not going to be replaced overnight ... |

I'd be up for it provided it's not a scenario that has an early advantage for one side.

Along the same lines I wish the game engine was set up where a player could not check LOS from a hex unless a unit/leader was in it.

We need one more Yank for an MP game. Chickamauga is the module so must have that. Will probably only be "up" once a week but must be able to do his portion of the turn within 24 hours. Send me a note at dburke20117@yahoo.com if interested.
