Gentlemen, there is a poem that about sums up some of Aus. http://users.chariot.net.au/~kday/australiansongs.html (or copy into your browser). The site also includes Waltzing Matilda (and an American-English explanation of the words). I live a few hundreds of kms South of Victoria, with a rather lar... |

Rich, Yes, I've seen the Ken Burns Series (and recognised the tune), although it was a fair while ago. The signature tune is the same and, I suppose, downbeat to give a suitable background to the terrible slaughter that ensued and was continually emphasised in the series. Sorry, I'll step out of context and ... Yep, Grant learned from Sherman. War is indeed hell! He had the mostest and the trick was to apply it. The war was to be won in the East. Meade wasn't the best, but he was the best of the rest. Both of them agreed that reinforcing Butler was a WOFTAM. Manoeuvr... |

Gentlemen, I think that we discussing two really very different issues. One is the low voter turn out. 10%, more or less. This is not such a big thing. As long as the changes are publically displayed and a democratic process is followed, then all will be well. The other is how we are to include new ... |

The good news is that it was still under warranty, so I get it (and a faulty DVD/CD Rom) replaced for free. The bad news is that no memory can be retreived... Those playing games a... |

I am surprised to hear of any rumour that acwgc.org could be subject to the terrors that inhabit the rest of the world-wide web.
Just what would be the difference if a club website was hosted at a website other than acwgc.org?

Actually, by the end of the war, with the new repeating rifles & breachloaders, Phil Sheridan probably had the right of it. The only thing the horses were good for was for manoeuver - getting there first. Once "there", fighting could only be done on foot (preserved the transport). Custer proved that... |
