Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long...

Patrick, When I installed the games it installed all of them. Each of them went to its own folder. I guess if you don't want a particular game you could delete that games particular folder (same holds true for all those space consuming video files). Also, there is no need to apply 32 bit patches. Th...

Nick, They installed to C:\Matrix Games\John Tiller's Battleground Civil War\Gettysburg (Antietam, etc). There is a minor issue in that some scenarios aren't visible in the opening menu (but can be accessed via the BGN.exe or BGBR.exe file. See the Matrix forum about this). This happened with Antiet...

All, From what I can tell all remains the same with the new Matrix edition. I recently went to Vista a few months ago so my old editions wouldn't work (had no choice. Fried computer so got new machine with Vista). One manual for all the games and a menu from which to access all 5 games are about the...

One thing I am curious about is whether someone with the new Matrix editions would be able to play PBEM vs someone with the old TS editions

Jeff,

I enjoyed William Davis' work (Battle at Bull Run). Very readable account and was close to 300 pages. I liked his book on New Market as well.

BTW, I hadn't left on vacation yet but am leaving tomorrow. Looking forward to resuming our Eckmuhl battle when I return next weekend. Just 340+...

I totally agree with Boyd re: Shiloh. When I was there in '94 I was so impressed I toured the field twice (not knowing when or if I would ever make the trip from upstate NY again). Another one I really like is Antietam. Generally doesn't have the G'Burg crowds and there is no build up infringing on ...

If you have the chance to make it to Manassas do so. Probably my favorite site in VA. Also, Fredericksburg/Chancellorsville/Wilderness/Spotsylvania are good to visit (4 sites within a few miles of each other. Another one I liked was Petersburg. The Peninsula sites, although few and lots of driving i...
