The original installs will work under VISTA. So do the Talonsoft patches. But the 32 bit updates from JT did not work for me.

Dirk, Unfortunately, the BG games as we know them are not compatible with Vista. The Matrix re-release (which has been in the works since the Reagan administration) is supposed to be addressing that. Rumor has it that they were being released this month (but with Matrix you never know). Lt.General D...

I would like to commend Capt McOmish on a well fought battle at Fort Henry. More importantly thanks for the quick turn around in returning your turns. We played a turn a day. That type of play makes tournaments successful. Cheers.

Thank you Gary. Quite often Vicksburg is forgotten. Gettysburg was probably the most dramatic moment but Vicksburg was the more important from a strategic standpoint.

Lt. Col Slepetz, Thanks for bringing up your great great grandfather. My wife's great great grandfather was in the 1st Michigan Cavalry (in Custer's Brigade) that also fought this day a few miles from Pickett's charge. We spent a good deal of time at the East Cavalry Field in April when we were down...

FYI,there appear to be some signs of the long awaited re-release of the Battleground games by Matrix. Some of the discussion says that perhaps next month. Saw it on the website.

Tom,

Sounds like you got some good deals on E-Bay. My experience with selling to NWS has been roughly $15.00 for HPS and $7-10 for BG.

99% single battles, 1% MP. My one MP game had a good bunch of guys for both sides and was interesting but I find MP to be way too slow for my liking.

Gery, Well, being an obsessive-compulsive I check the HPS site everyday to see if anything new happens. Regarding your Rebs heading for G'Burg, we don't have any tea for them but do have an ample amount of lead with their name all over it. LOL. Pat, It should be fine now. When I tried at first (6 PM or so) I had the same problem you did. About an hour later it had 1.02. I downloaded and installed it. Checked my game and it did say version 1.02. So just give it another try and you should be OK. Cheers, Lt.General Dale Lastowicka VIII Corps ...
