This man made some real contributions to the games we love, and I will always appreciate those times he shared information with us in the Tavern.

Anyone have a Civil War Bucket List location to visit? Mine remains Pohnpei in the middle of the Pacific. I mean, come on. So many reasons. https://emergingcivilwar.com/2017/04/07/ecw-weekender-the-farthest-battlefield-css-shenandoah-at-pohnpei/ Otherwise, I'd like to get down to Palmito Ranch some...

Don't remember the cards, but do remember the comic strip "Old Glory at the Crossroads" in the Sunday paper every week. https://www.historicalpublicationsllc.com/bookreviews/old-glory-at-the-crossroads-1861-1865-the-original-and-complete-tribune-newspapers-civil-war/article_2c4ee63a-23e3-1...

Here's my take. It is appropriate to give Lee B command rating. That has nothing to do with the decisions he made during the battle It has everything to do with his relationship with his corps commanders. You will note that both Ewell and Hill have command ratings of D. That means the best command r...

Not all clear terrain is created equal, and neither are roads. I do think the road-to-clear-terrain ratio should be more 2:3 than 1:2 generally speaking. Another consideration is in the game, cost to move infantry through towns is one in game terms, regardless of roads. I don't think that is realist...

I'm not sure about this one yet, but it appears that routed units behind friendly lines will now move in any direction even if it is toward the front. Hi, Ned, Got this from the 4.03 changelog: Adjustment so that Routed units must increase distance from enemy units unless a friendly Combat capable ...

I remember back in Talonsoft days the artist put three witches dancing around a cauldron on the Murfreesboro map. There was also a shark in a pond, but I don't remember if it was the same map.

According to the info, we are supposed to find the movement range of a unit by highlighting the unit and pressing "0" on the keypad. This, however, changes the formation of the highlighted unit. What am I missing? It worked for me by highlighting the unit and hitting the "0" key...

I checked the index in Pfanz's book on the second day for entries on Plum Run. Apparently the going was tougher than crossing a normal stream, and at least once ankle-deep mud was mentioned. So a marsh designation is probably warranted in places along Plum Run, but it was difficult to determine exac...

Attended the 150th anniversary reenactment. Really enjoyed it.

Seemed plenty big enough, and experienced no 7 mile line of cars.
