Gentlemen, When considering modification to the artillery melee strenght, you must remember to keep in mind faceing. The modifications should be to the business end of the cannon not the rear or flanks. When attacking from the rear or flanks the guns should be easly over run. So, is a Committe going... |

Rich Hamilton, Would the real life batteries have been considered disrupted during any period of fighting? That would have reduce effectiveness and given a lower casualty rate. I assume the HPS batteries were not disrupted. Col. Joe Mishurda Joe Mishurda, The Cast Iron Division 2nd Div. XXV Corp, AoJ |

From an earlier post by Rich Walker "I believe Corinth and Ozark uses the same values. Campaign Franklin uses the following as in your example: N (Napoleon) Distance 1 2 3 4 6 8 10 13 Corinth 1.01A 14 11 7 5 3 2 1 0.5 Corinth 1.03 12 10 6 5 3 2 1 0.5 C. Brett, What version of HPS did they use in the study? 1.01a had higher artillery effectiveness than version 1.03. I believe the Corinth artillery (1.03) is too weak while the Gettysburg artillery is more in line with what I expected. Have since learned early version of Corinth (1.01a) and Gettysburg... |

Gentlemen of the South, I am looking for a full Campaign in the HPS Campaign Gettysburg. I would like to play with phases (movement, fire and melee) and without the isolation rule. All other rules on except the optional tables (I do not know what they do any way). I have one Gettysburg Campai... |

Gentlemen, I guess what I would like to see to fix what I see as the problem is: 1) Allow the supply wagon to be a moble supply source. If you get trapped in a large enough area to include your supply wagon, perhaps your troops should not be surrendering so easily. Nobody is on your flanks because y... |

Gen. Walter, "Surrendering when seeing oneself isolated is a panic reaction ... it is not entirely logical. Troops *have* been known to mass-surrender to insignificant enemy forces if they just appeared to be on their flank, or worse, rear, and looked threatening enough, or the situation was confusi... |

Gentlemen, There is already a penalty suffered when you opponent gets into your flanks and rear. He can fire at you with no return fire, you have an increased possibility to rout and there is already an advantage to fire and melee on a units flank and rear. If he is truly there in numbers this makes... |

Gentlemen, I have played a number of games in the HPS system single phase with the isolation rule on. I have experienced rather loopsided blow outs due to this rule. I have had my entire army in Corinth sourrounded and wipped out. I have also, had entire Corp sourrounded and wiped out in HPS Gettysb... |

Dear Xlegion,
No, If you down load new graphics it only effects what you see, not your opponent. I have down loaded the Rolf graphics for HPS Campaign Gettysburg and have had no problems with my PBEM games.

Lt. Gen. Antony Barlow, Yes, I do like the look of Rolf's Regimental graphics, but I did not see a set for Gettysburg. I tried the acwsite2.mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk regimental graphics (Used these for Corinth 1.03, Rolf's had missing units and union boys in grey must be for Corinth version 1.01)... |
