I am proposing to take the field on HPS Antietam scenario 008 1st Bull Run (no fixed - sectional) as a multi player game...with a fog-of-war rule in place. Anyone interested, please read on: What I want/need is 2 Union and 2 Reb officers to join me for a 3 versus 2 battle at 1st Bull Run. This varia...

I find any apparent un-equalness in the layout of the graphics of little importance. What I find much more upsetting and needing attention is the gross disparity of the officers facial hair. I mean...some of the Union Generals aren't even sporting sideburns for goodness sake whilst Longstreet, that ...

I get as confused and upset over this issue as much as I do with every other feature of these games. The basic formula is simple enough and I've found it reliable in most engagements but the process and effects of breastwork building can cause frustration. I have rarely found a situation where I've ...

The Smoking room might be the best place for this one...but anyway: Watching the Gettysburg movie DVD I noticed, as in a lot of films set in the United States around this period what I can only describe as "Criss-cross" fences. Constructed from sawn or rough timber and apparently in a variety of sty...

I agree with General Walther. The appearance of the optional rules has rather skewed the playing field I think. Optional rules must have some impact on play to be worth including...or else why bother to use them? So if they DO have some relevance or influence on play is it wise or 'fair' to not use ...

Gentlemen...brother officers. My rucksack is packed with every item possibly imaginable and I am heading off for a planned week of hiking/camping starting tomorrow morning. 60 miles or so of charming English countryside (when visible through forecast July showers that is...RAIN, in July? I know, sho...

I'll not talk Mustard with a bunch of Americans. Your Mustard is...is...well, it's just NOT deserving of the name. I'll contact the United Nations and see if it is possible to get the Canadian Air Force to make an emergency drop of 'Colmans English Mustard' to you...[:p] Colonel Jim Wilkes. 2nd Brig...

Almost certainly my favourite strategy games on PC: Talonsofts Eastern Front II and Western Front. I haver never played them by PBEM and wondered if any member of this club might be interested in finally giving me an introduction to these games versus a human opponent? I am running: Eastern Front II...

I've always assumed that this limitation on unit formation changing was an attempt to simulate the clumsiness of units, or rather commanders, of this period? The opportunity for changing into line from column and vice-versa is certainly possible within the 20 simulated minutes of the game turn, but ...
