Gentlemen, General Sands is doing <i>everything</i> possible to alleviate the current shortcomings of the DoR site. I know that he is addressing both the short and long-term issues involved to the best of his ability, and that any inconveniences that we are now experiencing are unavoidable until res...

So is the thinking here that the breastwork being built is a full hexside in actual length, meaning that 400 men could constuct one faster than 40 men? Or was the idea that a unit need only construct a breastwork for their own particular frontage, which would equally apply the 18% probability? Maj. ...

<i>"5:30 am by who's watch? 8:00 by who's watch? Not like they were all using GMT back then. Times in personal accounts are very inaccurate in that time period. That said, we can't exactly pinpoint 8 game turns as an accurate time. It could have been only a couple of hours, it could have been four. ...

Sunrise of September 20th, 1863 occurred around 5:30, pre-dawn about 5:00 AM. If as Hazen states the breastworks were completed "long before 8:00 A.M.", then it took the equivalent of eight game turns (5:20 to 7:40) to finish all of the breastworks. (For purposes of this discussion I am conveniently...

West Pointer William Babcock Hazen, a Union brigade commander at the Battle of Chickamauga, recalled the skill with which his command displayed in throwing up breastworks on the morning of the second day. <font color="orange">"At daybreak Colonel Suman, of the Ninth Indiana, came to me and suggested...

Well now, that's just great! The CLT&PRF went after me last year when I hosted a beer bash in Cincinnati for the wounded vets of my division! They darn near had my commission revoked before it was all over. Nope! There's no way now that Ludwig's gone and let the cat out of the bag for me to get anyw...

In a Turn-based scenario of HPSCN (#003 First Bull Run), Yankee infantry found itself positioned adjacent to a Rebel mounted cavalry unit that was also isolated and disrupted. In the Optional Melee Resolution portion of the turn the computer allowed the infantry to melee the unit! Was this supposed ...

I am genuinely crushed, General Bastiani, that you've included me in such intemperate company! Oh, I suppose its true that I've overindulged from time to time in preparing the old newspapers, but that is nothing compared to the almost continous toasting for which General Laub is noted! Of course, he...

General Mullins, You are probably referring to Mikel Uriguen's fabulous <i>Generals of the American Civil War</i> website, which was taken down some two years ago due to the exhorbitant cost associated with maintaining the site that is imposed upon internet usage in Spain. Mikel has saved all of his...
