| Ernie: In another recent post by Kennon Whitehead, he quotes from Alexander, don't know which book of the two Alexander wrote. Alexander's analyses seem to held in high regard byscholars also. | I did the downloads for chancellorsville and the units come out great! But there was no leader.bmp to download so my leader icons don't show up on the map since I remaned the original leaders file. | I have both Sherman's and Longstreet's memoirs and I can recommend Sherman's as a very good read. I am still trying to plow through Longstreet's. I would like to add "The Passing of the Armies" by Joshua Chamberlain where in a very moving description, he describes Gen. Gordon's reaction to the Union... |

| I have "The Atlas of the Civil War" edited by James McPherson which I think is pretty good. Covers all the main battles on all theaters including Cheat Mountain. I believe there is a "Military Atlas of the Civil War" or something similar that is put out by West Point? That might be the best one yet.... |
