Always happy to lend a hand in the festivities, General McOmish. I agree with your grand announcement that General Busey is to be congratulated, not only for his fine expose on the particulars of Yankee genetics, but for having the stomach to delve into such distasteful particulars.

Cheers to all!

Around age 6 or 7, for me it was Missionary Ridge, TN; Chickamauga & Ringgold, GA. I had family involved in all of them. I was fascinated by the Civil War, and was reading Bruce Catton in the third grade. When other kids in the neighborhood were playing war made popular by the old black & wh...

On Winfrey Field - I'm just not buying what you are selling. In your own findings you point out the concentrated attempt way after sundown, for the Confederates in push the Yankee lines back, even while the Yanks attempted to withdraw. The Rebs pushed further. If I understand them correctly, under y...

What? Cleburne's attack through Winfrey Field at Chickamauga at night, just to name one of the attacks mentioned in the link wasn't a major night action? I must agree to disagree.

I have always preferred not to have prohibitions against any night action for reasons of historical accuracy. It happened a good deal more than we realize in the war (see below link). Question is, does the game engine penalize the combatants enough for being involved in such things? https://civilwar...

Hi Paul! I've never been a fan putting prohibitions on night attacks in our games as in fact they did happen. There are indeed countless examples of both big and small night actions with varied results (please give the link below a read). I live close to Chickamauga Battlefield, and here we can find...

Gents <Salute> For me, WDS Chickamauga historical #8 scenario, the full two day battle is my favorite. I don't think I have ever lost playing the Confederates in either one-on-one or multi-player matchups. One reason it is dear to me, is that I live just 30 minutes away, and have frequented the batt...

So very saddened to hear the news of Walt's passing, shocked really. His dedication to club affairs was legendary. He enjoyed gaming and particularly multi-player challenges. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends who are left behind.

Respectfully,
