Don Vandergriff and I played it out about 250 turns. Currently, we are 93 turns into it in an MP game. I've thought about finding a last turn from the game with Don and continuing it with somebody. J |

With half-hour daytime turns and one-hour nighttime turns, daylight is 34 turns (17 hours) and night is 7 turns or seven hours, total for a day is therefore 41 turns. The scenario goes a couple days past the historical date of the Cold Harbor assault, June 3rd, and is just shy of 34 days. J John Fer... |

I send this out for the benefit of those brave souls who are tackling the Grand Scenario, 1390 turn scenario from hell:  I have started working on an event schedule which will accompany the Campaign Scenario notes next update. It shows all events in chronological format, as well as instruction... |

If you walk due east from the High Water Mark on Cemetery Ridge, you find yourself walking downhill for almost a half mile, to the general vicinity of the new Cyclorama building. During the battle, the area became a haven for support services to gather, out of sight of the Confederate lines, in defi... |

If you'll scroll down through the posts on MDT, you will come upon Ken Whitehead's excellent blog re: AGEOD II (Last post was on 4 January.) I am sure he can answer your corps question. J

These notes pertain mainly to the big Overland scenario, but some points may apply to other games and scenarios. I offer the notes with trepidation, because I expect a flurry of replies saying that I am dead wrong about this, that, and the other thing. If they apply, if you see where you can improve... |

It seems that Vicksburg is the only ACW title that I have not acquired. Does anyone have or know of a deal on the price? J

Favorite painting(s) ? The Cycloramas at Gettysburg and Atlanta. Has anyone ever seen prints of the lost Shiloh cyclorama? THAT would be a treasure to find, in some old warehouse or some such. I take all modern commercial Civil War art at face value, and appreciate it as such. Life is too short to b... |

On this balmy Monday evening in Pennsylvania the temp is three below zero and the wind is blowing about 24 miles an hour. Life threatening. Feeling for the people and the animals who don't necessarily have a nice warm house or barn to hunker down in. I wonder how our ancestors ever survived the litt... |

So Christmas has come and gone and I am still AGEOD-deprived. I did have a few shekels come my way though, so we'll see. Is there a way to become involved tactically in a battle, or does the computer handle all that? I have long had a scheme in my head on how I would design a game like this. I wonde... |

So--a region. Are regions all of about the same size? I presume there is no hex pattern as we know it. How big is a region usually? I look forward to the day when we fight across terrain, without the hex pattern, in even small tactical games. We are in Texas until Sunday, enjoying Houston's milder w... |

I had to bring this up on my old computer and transfer it over. Of course these figures only apply to the longer scenarios, and only the Campaign Scenario in full. Thanks to Ken Miller for providing it to me many years ago. Perhaps you have all seen it, but I thought it would fit into our current di... |
