Captain Sir, <Salute> I will gladly meet you on the battle field. I am still trying to get to grips with the game. We could still play Out Of The Mist but to increase my knowledge how about First Battle of Bull Run? I don't like the Chickamauga maps. Any suggestions? tony.barrett@btinternet.com

Trying to redeem my self with out of the mist against Brig. Gen. Martin, I may even get a draw out of this one!

Well due to a lack of offers from the lower ranks such as myself I am playing out of the mist against Brig. Gen. David Martin. Now I gather that even in the Union army you don't get to become a Brig. Gen. without getting a few wins under your belt so presume he is a good player. Whilst I enjoy playi...

Oh come on gentlemen - I am not that bad a player that I can't give you a reasonable game. I have just made bad choices in my strategy. If nothing else take pity on me and help me to learn. I have even heard it suggested that the Union Officers are afraid of being the 1st to be beaten by such a poor...

Losing at Gettysburg in Lt Cup :-(

Chose wrong stratagy

Think I am still in Napoleonic mindset of close combat rather than thinking of 5 hex range. Still it's fun learning.

I like the idea of playing at our own pace. Good that "Du Management" (British phrase) organise Lieutenants Cup for new players. However after that for individuals to organise themselves. I like the idea of multi player games but one needs to be a little more experienced before engaging in...

<Salute> Venerable Sirs,

I always drink responsibly. I find other people's drinks are far cheaper allowing me to spend my own money more wisely, on loose women. ;-)

Sirs,

May I raise a glass to my fellow officers in the CSA and those with a northern persuasion who I hope to defeat in the future.

<Cheers> <Salute>

I hope to be in the field shortly but for now it is time to celebrate.

Sirs, Should it not be a question of assertive defense or passive defense? Passive defense = Nah Nah you can't get me. Assertive defense = Come on then "Make my day". Knowing (hoping) that you have an answer to the attack you expect. Ideally the forward defense positions should have a fall...
