You can only check each games version individually after opening it and looking under the drop down menu "Help" and then clicking on About.
As far as I know there is no other way. |

Whenever I, and I am sure any of you, must head to the Emergency Room it is an ordeal and an unsettling event. Thankfully we have access to medicine and treatments which were unthinkable to Civil War soldiers during the war. Last night I headed to my local hospital in Franklin, TN, due to a kidney ... |

Campaign Games are notoriously confusing and hard to register properly. Honestly, you will save yourself a lot of time by just registering it as "Other" which is at the bottom of the DOR list of scenarios for each game. |

My own opinion is that the key to a successful MP game (one played to an agreed upon and friendly conclusion) is having at least two of the teammates on a single team being actual "friends" in the Club with an established relationship. When friends join forces they are much more likely to ... |

A good MP game to select depends on the number of players involved + the length of the game you wish to play (not to mention finding a title everyone has in common). Some setups really work well for 2 on 2 and others for maybe 3 on 3 or 4 on 4. Most MP games occur at Antietam, Gettysburg, or Chickam... |

The idea that Joe Johnston was some sort of military genius is one of the most bizarre trends in recent history and needs to be put down out back behind the shed. I can't argue too much. I think Johnston would have done better in a position of lesser responsibility but we will never know. Some guys... |

Continuing to read through "Donnybrook" by David Detzer. He writes: Strategy, the art of a whole campaign, is best devised by one who has enough mental capacity, as well as training, to understand the nature of the countryside, the character of the enemy, and the capacity of one's own tro... |

Mike is correct, that's the ideal way. But if you just want to not worry about scenario editing (very understandable) then just take a snapshot of the Victory Dialog at turn one and the Objective Points the game begins with by default. You and I just played Matrix First Bull Run last month so I will... |

Reading "Donnybrook" by David Detzer at the moment. He writes: In 1861, except for Lieutenant General Winfield Scott, Jefferson Davis was America's most famous military expert. Really? There are a lot of others who would be in that conversation. Joseph Johnston was just made a brigadier g... |

From what little I know - John Ferry had his own views on weaponry and such. The range of weapons and their effectiveness has been, and will, argued and debated until doomsday. Since there is no right answer (or one that is agreeable for all), it is generally left up to the designer to create the va... |

Just reading the book "Dissonance" by David Detzer and thought his two cent opinion about Winfield Scott interesting: Winfield Scott was arguably a far better soldier, and man, than Patton. It's a hard comparison to make as their situations were very different. It's been years since I rea... |

The answer, apparently, is Gettysburg and Antietam. As some of you pointed out - those are states and not territories. And one might also add that there was no such thing as "Union territory" during the war. Wasn't it McClellan who crowed about expelling Lee from the Union only to have Lin... |

I ran across a website for teachers with a Jeopardy style Civil War game. Cool, it's for junior high or maybe high school.
Question: Which two battles were fought in Union territory?
Alright. What's the answer?
Hint: Your brain should hurt you as you ponder this one. |

I updated the DOR files at https://www.acwgc.net/dor today. April was a big month as far as both membership numbers and gaming goes. We are -14 Members for 2025 which is already above our average of -10 per year since the end of the pandemic. Hopefully we will get some new recruits in the summer to... |
