Don't worry, there are plenty of rules in these games to memorize as well :)

That doesn't seem right. WDS said you should do a "clean install" for this version. In their Blog post, they said [my emphasis]: "** A completely Clean Install is required to obtain this update . You can grab a new copy of the installers from your Store Account. Yes, even for the Dem...

I did hear from WDS that you do NOT need to finish your games before updating to 4.05. As long as you and your opponent update, it will work normally. I have not tested this myself but have no reason to doubt it is true. WDS said they will notate when/if there is an issue in this regard. Should you...

I really had to do some work to get the images and everything back to the "Traditional" look. I'm not loving the new color schemes. The Rebs look like Yanks. Butternut please. But, hey, to each his own. Maybe someday a palette will pop up and you can just click on your preferred color sche...

Awesome job, Nick! The next six highest totals of games played are all Federal members! Then there I am in 8th place with 288, not even half way to Nick's total. The average Club Member has played 69 games just in case anyone is curious. This includes games of all types registered in the DOR. Tom Ph...

Gentlemen, I am pleased to announce the awarding of a John Dragan Medal to Brig. Gen. Rick Brown of the ANV. The Dragan Medal is awarded each time a Confederate officer reaches a 1,000 point marker in the DOR. https://static.wixstatic.com/media/7b5c37_497837833d3243dcbfaf416321860414~mv2.jpg/v1/fil...

God bless the tour apps. While I do still walk around with the ridiculously good Trailhead Graphics Maps (now out of print), these apps make life much easier. Trailhead Graphics Maps made visiting a battlefield super easy and fun. With a complete listing of every monument and tablet on the battlefi...

Yes, thanks for the info. I wish that they had included it in the PDT but I suppose that there are reasons why it isn't. I probably should also add that when we say that a unit disappears because it is on an opponent's entry hex when reinforcements are brought on board, they truly just disappear. T...

When last I checked, a unit on an arriving hex when the enemy shows up on it does disappear. To find the protective halo around an entry hex - go into the the Scenario Editor and load the scenario. Then go to the Units drop-down menu and select Scheduled. Then find the time and arrival force you are...

Agree with Antietam over Gettysburg and Chickamauga over Shenandoah. But it does depend on what battles you enjoy playing. The old Talonsoft games don't work with Windows 11 as far as I know. There might be a workaround but with so many other titles it's easier to just retire those. The Matrix versi...

Gen Strickler, I've downloaded the files from the site, but was under the impression when registering that an opponent would be picked for me on 3/1. How does that work? Should I advertise in the finder for an opponent? An email may have been sent, but I did find out from an opponent that they had ...

It's always enjoyable to find little known Civil War monuments or markers in the most random of places.

The same with battles fought by former generals after the war. Whether it is Custer at Bighorn, Loring in Egypt, or Wheeler in Cuba, all would make for interesting destinations to visit.

That might become the most popular phrase I've heard in the club so far in 2024
