Fort Wilkins in Michigan is the northernmost Michigan fort garrisoned during the war. Beautiful place to visit if you are ever in the mood to be in the middle of nowhere up on the Keweenaw.

I completely agree. I know I can be a hard person to get along with but I don't want to be known as inflexible anymore than anyone else wants to be perceived as that. If we are all willing to compromise more than we would all be better off. I will do my share. Artillery Limits have become a rallying...

Blake taught me alot about the games and how to play better. Unexpected given we are on different sides. Great attitude and spirit. If he were only on the Union side then he'd really be good guy LOL

I'd love to keep arguing but I feel it is pointless. We need a game designer to tell us how they determine ratings. Not you simply restating what the manual tells us they represent. Given that there are a large number of creators I doubt a consensus among them exists with rating determinations. Maki...

The rating for leaders in these games have nothing to do with performance during the battle, or before, or after it.

What?

I say he should be graded on his performance at the time based upon what those ratings actually represent.

Which is it? Pick a poor argument and at least stick to it.

Quaama: Lee gets a B rating for Gettysburg? The man lost 28,000 men, failed in his strategic and tactical mission, and launched the most infamous assault in the Civil War. Lee is as overrated a general as there has ever been. Lee screwed up at Malvern Hill and did not learn from it. He repeated the ...

Lee is overrated in general and I believe the ratings reflect a traditionalist viewpoint of his reputation. Lee with Jackson was very good but not the same after Chancellorsville. If Longstreet leads the army of northern virginia I don't see him doing any more or less better than Lee against Grant. ...

The AotP was up against Lee and the best supplied and largest rebel horde. They went through the normal period of transformation that it takes all volunteer armies to become fighting machines. The ANV took time as well but were aided by Lee and superior leadership. When it mattered most the AotP was...

Why can't we choose which battlefield leader to promote when a leader is a casualty? Why can't their be a pop up box that gives us the option to choose their replacement rather than having one chosen at random for us?

A road is a road is a road in the games. Interesting analysis but I don't see how the game could alter towns to be "traffic snarls" unless all roads in a town hex were trails instead of roads. Would a column take longer to move through a town is the question. I have no answer and my opinio...
