I agree with “B”. If we have control over over each commander, the rating should be done differently. My idea would be to have each level commander have a command range. Brigade have the smallest ehile Army or Division commanders would have the largest. The rating system is simple. Army commanders (...

Well, I purchased FoF and Crown so I will let you all know. Thanks for the recommendation Scott. Ive booted Crown and I actually like the map and the interface seems easy enough. We will see. Paul, I own WitE 1 and love it. I did purchase 2 earlier in the month after reading some of the upgrades and...

Lee did worse than usual in Gettysburg. However, the question is the lack of appropriate game mechanics. It is hard to say Command Ranking is a proper mechanic to show such a bad performance of generals like Lee in Gettysburg. The JTS/WDS doesn't have a good enough mechanic or doesn't have at least...

Have members fought Gettysburg 100 times head to head in the club? Is there a way to get a report on it from the DoR? Would be interesting to see a report. Not just Gettysburg either. Be interesting to know which battles both sides historically are better in the club and if it matches real life resu...

I like that the computer does it. On a real battlefield the next senior man would take over. You cant stop battle and say, hey now your in command. Its not football, cant just put a new QB in on the fly. Sometimes I believe we have too much control over the battle field in these games. I know anothe...

Well, Chess is awesome and it can be very strategic. Our games certainly have many more variables for sure. Because of the limited number of "counters", I dont think even the best A/I could determine every possible strategy, and even if it could, it wouldnt be able to put the little units ...

Hey, thanks for noticing. Didnt know you played the Napoleonics as well! What Im gathering and didnt realize is that Crown and FoF are based off the same system. Probably gonna try them out, why not? On sale. Thanks for the tip on War and Peace. However, I dont use steam, not a fan of that lack of o...

Didn't realize it was real-time, not a fan of that either. WEGO doesn't necessarily bother me, but I'm not interested in "twitchy" games anymore. I own WinE and WitE2, but not WitW. I find that even though it seems super complicated, you don't need to make it so. You can dive into every we...
