| I'm playing !BG 008- First Contact! against my reb opponent. A wonderful book covering this part of the action on the first day at Gettysburg is "The Devil's to Pay: John Buford at Gettysburg" by the late great Eric J Wittenberg. |

| Growing up in western Pennsylvania, it was a family trip to Gettysburg. Many visits since then, and it's still my favorite Civil War battlefield... although Shiloh is a close second. |
