Major General Moore, Robert Frost's 30 PDT file is set at version 5 so it will support weather. If you want to use some of the other pdt functions added since then such as Crew Kill and Trench digging you will need to set the Version to 8. I would suggest starting with the Atlanta1864_weather.pdt fi...

Brigadier General Simonitch, If you'll send me your pdt that is giving you trouble and the scn file you are trying to use I can take a look at it and see what I can find out. There are some logs available in the 3.0 versions that I have used to troubleshoot problems. You can PM me to get my email or...

Since you both were able to play one turn I would say it's probably not a problem with any of the games files. Also I have not heard any reports of problems with scenarios in Antietam. Do you both have the same version ? Current version is 3.0. If it doesn't report a problem with his password then I...

I see two of my favorite ACW boardgames, IMO VG's "The Civil War" was the best strategic level ACW ever produced. For many years my friend and I spent the Friday after Thanksgiving playing it while the wives were shopping with their mothers. We'd play all day and usually got far enough tha...

The only games I see that have movement sounds are Shenandoah and Overland, I don't currently have Petersburg loaded. You'll find files in the Media folder that are named *Movement, IMovement sounds like infantry marching. You could copy all these *Movement files to your C'ville Media folder, worked...

This game engine is ridiculous.

How do you play this way?

I was not acquainted with Lieutenant General Steve Kitchen but his dedicated service to the club places him on my list of those I wish I knew better.

Gentlemen, I find my self needing to get a new game going. For those newer rebels who don't know me I have been a member in the ACWGC off and on for over 20 years. I prefer to play using a historical perspective. I want ti play in phases and my Optional Rules preferences are. Optional Rules I use Ma...

Having run three such games for the ACWGC I would defintely be interested in being on the playing side. Also would like to know how you handle the game engine. I listed the basic rules I used for running the game I umpired so players understood how things would be done. If you're interested you can ...

All of these fantasies are just that, fantasies. In the first place Jackson lost his arm May 2. Hood's arm was injured at Gettysburg, not amputated and he did not return to duty until September, nearly two months later. Otis Howard lost an arm at Fair Oaks on June 1 and didn't return to duty until S...

Also you have to select Automated Defensive Fire Option for this to work, from the CWB Manual. "Note: Although it can always be accessed and works in both Turn and Phase Mode, the Auto DF Dialog settings only work if the Automated Defensive Fire optional rule is in use." Although Automated...

Based on the fact that the game uses 20 minute turns and the accounts of the bombardment before Pickett’s charge indicated it lasted about two hours and the CSA guns were running low on long range ammunition in their caissons, which you would think were filled the night before, one can say each gun ...

1. When breastworks are 'built', it is obvious which side that they protect because a breastwork goes up on that particular hexside. However, when trenches are 'built', the trench appears down the middle of the hex. Does the trench protect against all sides of the hex? Yes, can verify this from tes...
