This sounds to me like a problem reading the .btc file. The error reading the file could be a corrupted file or a bad spot on the hard drive making the program unable to read the file. Although not in the HPS games I have seen similar errors when trying to copy or read files and it often is caused b...

If you are attempting to open a scenario in a Corinth folder that has been patched beyond 1.01 it will not work. Beginning with 1.02 the oobs have been locked. If you are using Ver 1.01 then to increase the regimental strengths you have to modify the OOB. The best way to do this is to open the OOB w...

All I know is this is a big improvement over the old disappearing guns. No more sending a unit on a suicide mission to capture some guns for vp's since they no longer disappear and can easily be recaptured if you have sufficient strength to do so. Under the new rule I have had guns captured and have...

Notso, Rich Hamilton sent me the link the hotel's website, seems my memory is worse than I thought, it is in Frederick not Hagerstown. Must have stayed in Hagerstown on one of my other trips to Sharpsburg. Reason I couldn't find it was I was thinking it was the Black Horse Inn and it's the Red Horse...

Notso, I really can't remember the name of the place but I've contacted Rich Hamilton to see if he recalls it. That was 4-5 years ago and half the time I can't remember where I was last week. As to my getting there it's not out of the question but we'll have to wait and see. Gen. Ken Miller http://h...

Gents, When Rich Hamilton planned an ACWGC get together a few years ago we stayed in Hagerstown. I don't recall the name of the motel, it was not one of the chains but it was clean and reasonable and not too far off the exit on I-70 and close to an intersection that allowed quick access to the roads...

It could be a random hit, lots of these things are sent out that way, lately I've been getting spam from people offering to provide me email lists I can send spam to. It also appears to me the spammers are getting smarter, I find more is getting thru my spam filter lately because they are using subj...

Gentlemen, Having served with Gen Kelly for several years as an instructor at West Point I know how much his service has meant to the Union army. I wish to thank him and wish him the best in his future endeavors. As to Gen Perrenod, I recall a new lieutenant showing up to take command of the 1st Bri...

There are ports of the BG game to Corinth 1.01. Robert Frost did the historical scenario using Norris Frost stacking limits. I used his oob to make ports of the other BG scenarios. If that's what you're looking for and the ACWCO no longer has them I can provide the files, have them on a backup from ...

Several Union armies have a Sharpshooter Award, normally awarded monthly to the officer who scores the highest number of VP for killing, wounding or capturing a reb officer in a battle. I'd suggest you go to the AoS site and click on the Sharpshooter link there but unfortunately Gen Dean, our record...

Agree with the idea that units should not be able to spike guns if D'd. This shouldn't require much of a change as D'd units cannot initiate breastworks so it shouldn't be too hard to carry that over to spiking guns. Gen. Ken Miller http://home.comcast.net/~AoS_USA/Pictures/FLG_AoS_sm.gif Army of th...

Gen DeHoff, Haven't seen you around lately, wish I had the time to take you up on a game, enjoyed our previous encounters, but right now I'm tied up with a project and can't take on any more games. To my fellow yanks, if you're looking for a good game I suggest you contact Gen DeHoff. As I recall we...

If you need a password suggest you contact Gen Ernie Sands, he has helped out a couple of the AoS officers with this.

Col Denner, I've been a member of the Friends for a long time, seen them do a lot of things for the park over the years. Unfortunately my schedule and the fact that I live about 4 hours away has prevented me from having the opportunity to take part in their workdays. However the wife and I have been...
