As a West Point Instructor we've been getting more people joining with only the HPS titles. With HPS Getty this creates a problem as noted there are few good 10-20 turn scenarios to use for training and tournaments. With this in mind I recently converted the old BGG 06H to HPS Getty and tried it wit... |

Seems we have lost another player from our MP game. We need someone to take over Gen Meade's V Corps. His forces have only had some minor skirmishing so the command is in good shape. The game is played using HPS Corinth ver 1.01. For more information on how the game is played check out the game webs... |

Brett, About 2/3 of the way thru the book. Had very little knowledge of Champion Hill prior to reading it, just some references to it in books on the Vicksburg Campaign. I pretty much agree with your take on the book, find it both informative and enjoyable. Lt.Gen.Ken Miller Veteran's Divsion VIII /... |

Two house rules I've used in games several times that I like are 1. Units of a Brigade who's officer failed his command check cannot move adjacent to the enemy. (easy to tell as his command rating is yellow) 2. D'd units cannot move adjacent to the enemy. (they can stay there if already adjacent) Th... |

Don't know about the descriptions but I'm playing the historical Shiloh campaign, suffered a minor defeat at Belmont and won a major victory at Fort Henry, on to Donelson next.

The Panzer Campaign games have an optional Night Fatigue rule, any unit using MP during night turns gains FA. Since combat costs MP in those games doing anything at night results in gaining FA instead of losing it. This would make even more sense in the ACW games allowing you to redeploy fresh units... |

In the HPS ACW games K is a 6 LB Rifled Gun. Since many of the other weapon types carry over from BG series I would guess it would be the same.

Pretty good summer except it's been very hot here in western PA this year. On my first weeks vacation I got to go to Tiller Con, meet some old friends and make some new ones then spend some time at the beach with the wife. My youngest graduated from high school and we had the families together at my... |

Rich, If you can keep the picture assignment to one side, at least within each engine it would make things simpler for us. As to CSA boats, I've found a few usuable color ones on the web and there is a large list of B/W ones that can be modified to fit into the 70x86 size used in the files at http:/... |

Rich, So far the game seems ok to me, no glitches in the engine and the defensive fire seems better with the final fire before melee option. In doing some research for a color units.bmp I have found a couple errors in the oobs. McCulloch's Cav in the New Madrid, New Madrid Polk Dorn Grant and Shiloh... |

Hank, You ought to get yourself a usb flash drive and back that stuff up whenever you change it. I do that with my MP game files just in case. Picked up a 512 MB flash drive on sale a while back for around $50. Lt.Gen.Ken Miller Veteran's Divsion VIII / AoS http://home.comcast.net/~krmiller8/images/... |

Gen Mishurda, If you download the Tom Hicks Sharpsburg and/or the Chris Hopper Sharpsburg Bn files you'll note they both have different names for the OOB, PDT and SCN files. As long as the designer does not use the same name for these files for different scenarios they won't cause problems. They can... |

Bill, Tried Jess's modified BG games, thought the lower stacking limits were more realistic but had a problem with movement using them. You often were unable to move units thru one another in retreat or advance since so many units were maximum size. I've been using a modified pdt for the MP games I ... |

I'm one of those guys got stuck in that DC traffic. Coming down from Pa Thursday I figured I'd just beat the rush hour, boy was I wrong. Hit Rockville, Maryland around 3 PM and didn't reach Quantico till 6 PM, that's about 50 miles for those of you not familar with the area. Used to slowdowns and he... |

It's not every day a West Point instructor gets to see two of his cadets advance to Major General at the same time. Well done gentlemen. [8D]
