My guns at Nashville are closing in on the Reb lines now ... if they (the Rebs) don't run first, I will be able to report on their (the cannon's) effectiveness. Long range fire, so far, seemed more decent than in the other HPS (ACW) games.

Your former interpretation is correct. It means firepower of 7 up to 3 hexes, of 4 from there to 9 hexes, inclusive.

This board here has an "active topics" feature, and somehow it manages to keep track of when you visited last, even on different machines. Quite useful.

The problem that you may having is with the rule that was introduced with one of the latest patches to the series and that makes every unit disrupt that is in the path of a routing unit. I absolutely hate this rule and can't understand why they haven't made it optional, at least. It means our cannon...
