That's a mighty vague question ... beauty is always in the eye of the beholder, and so is being "better".
My personal opinion is this--HPS played in phases is the best BG that you'll ever get. [8D]

As has been said, you can use a .bat file with a simple four lines to delete *all* the .xxx and .yyy files in *all* your game folders at once. But you can just as well delete these files manually in the game folder. When I go in to zip the file, I sort the folder after the file date in descending or... |

1. Open the .cpf file in any text editor. In one of the first lines the name of the battle is listed. The end of the next line after that has the number of turns. 2. Name of battle and number of turns should be enough for reporting. Nevertheless, if you need the actual scenario, you can now open the... |

I have been thinking ... Corinth came out in late 2001 and was the first ACW game that had the bridge destruction feature. Now I think I can quite see where that came from. Historically, just before the battle of Corinth, the Federals destroyed Davis Bridge. Probably the designer deemed it imperativ... |

The usual advice is, delete your pbemail. and campaign.xxx and .yyy files (four files total) regularly. At this stage, however, you may already have corrupted game files. If possible, go back 2-3 turns to a good file.

Thanks--that's all not it. This time, I tried in three different browsers, I reloaded several times, I even deleted the remote file and uploaded it again, also several times--this page just refuses to be seen.
Any other ideas?

Sometimes when I upload a page to my webspace, it just doesn't show, for several days. It's definitely there, I can see it in the remote site window of my FTP program, it has all the right properties, but if you look for it in the browser it doesn't show. It happens only rarely, but completely rando... |

General advice ... --Make sure it's the right patch (UK vs. US version; latest patches from TS don't work with the 32 bit update; Rich Hamilton's website http://www.hist-sdc.com has all the right ones); --the patch has to be *in* the main game folder to install properly; --patch first, then 32 bit u... |
