I'm not sure why those histories would say that Round Top had bad observation and fields of fire. If I reca...

Anyone play Memoir '44, specifically via VASSAL? I've done that quite a bit in the past, but finding opponents was becoming a challenge.

If anyone does, let me know - not sure my schedule can handle another game at the moment, but good to know possibilities for opponents later on.

Why not, I'm fairly new, so I thought I would weigh in as well. I think I vaguely remember either trying to join this club a few years back, or else a very similar one. At the time, I wound up losing interest and dropping away, mostly because the individual who had been assigned to get me through th...

I would add to your list "Confederates In The Attic" by Tony Horowitz...brief abstract in the "Post-Civil War" forum. Very interesting read.

I'd acquired this book about 15 years ago, but I hadn't sat down to read it until recently (go figure). I thought Horwitz had an interesting approach, exploring the views in various areas of the South regarding the War. From accompanying a hardcore reenactor on several marches and tours of various b...

Lt. Col. Simonitch,

That would be agreeable to me. If you'll send me your email address, I'll send you my battle proposal.

Regards,

I have HPS Antietam and HPS Atlanta (also FOF, though I understand that's one of the less popular games). USUALLY good for a turn a day (once in a while more than that), but sometimes real life DOES hinder that for a day or two in a given week. Email me directly @ dbmcwaters at hotmail dot com if in...
