Its either still wrong at the Union Army HQ website or I have a link to an old Union Army HQ URL on the Link Express. In my old age, something keeps telling me that Gen Laub is out of town for a while though. Seems that he was going to a week long batchelor's party or was going to do the hiring for ...

The Union has won a major victory in a hard fought battle at Antietam.

If the Confederacy had won their independence, where would Jefferson Davis have been seated at his first White House state dinner? Would it be to Lincoln's right or Lincoln's left or as far away from Lincoln as Abe could get him? What would Robert E. Lee have done with all those soldiers buried on h...

Is there a way to get custom scenarios added to the Department of Records New Game registration drop down menu?

Why can't the top line, or at least one of the top lines, of the cpf file identify specifically which scenario that we are playing? Heck, I would accept the bottom line. I can only imagine how many games are registered incorrectly. Lt Gen Ned Simms 1/1/VIII/AoS/USA Blood 'n Guts hisself, a land lovi...

This offer is still available. Hank and I weren't able to settle on the options that would satisfy both of us.

All Options On - that means that we play in phases as in the BG games. No additional house rules other than the ones that the club sponsors (I'm old and I'm afraid that I wouldn't remember them). I've never played either one of these so come teach me some hard lessons or explore it with me. I can be...

Okay, so for clarity's sake, normal morale ratings are A=6, B=5, C=4, D=3, E=2, F=1. During night turns, all leaders and units have a command value one less than normal. If I got it right, that would mean not only that infantry and cavalry units that are detached would automatically fail the disrupt...

Are the chances for disruption recovery less at night in both BG and HPS or does our impatience just make it appear that way?

Mike, I normally agree with you but you can't realistically include everything in a pregame agreement that you might disagree with. Who would ever think of someone doing what the good Captain said that he did? And if you did think of it and include it in a five page list of things for me to agree to...

We're playing HPS Shiloh Historical Scenario 147 (the Battle of Shiloh with an Exit Hex). We're still in day 1. Union casualties cost more than Reb casualties do. 40% of Union infantry count as casualty points while only 32% of Reb infantry count as casualty points (80% cavalry vs 72%). Are all of t...

I haven't fought at Antietam in a long, long time. I might not even remember where I parted with my left leg on that field, but I'm willing to search for it. Bring her on, MG Luerding, many a Reb will be learning how to swim before this day is over, if I can just find my left leg. Lt Gen Ned Simms 1...

Let 'er rip, Sean. I owe you one anyway for holding off a whole Union Corps with artillery batteries at Antietam a long time ago. At least that won't work with HPS. We'll make ye walk the gang plank in this one and the bull's eye will be painted in Reb blood so that the sharks can't miss (good heave...
