In the last two turns I did in a Chickamauga scenario, I had to move my supply wagon around an uncrossable creek in order to resupply my units on the other side, so the answer appears to be that a creek that is not crossable by bridge or ford will prevent resupply. Is it possible that there is anoth... |

The three What If scenarios are based upon the 1390 turn campaign monster game. They are designed to make the scenario easier to play and to provide the ANV with at least a strategic advantage over the original/historical scenario. The difficulties faced by the AotP increase with each scenario. Lee ... |

As long as I can remember, through several different computers, all of the HPS/JTS campaigns, and all of the updates; a cavalry unit in column moving down a road hex by hex (not using the alt key to move multiple hexes although that has its own problems) has run into an opposing unit sight unseen wh... |

I'll continue with some more cavalry puzzles (for me). 4 - Why does a cavalry artillery unit limber up and have a movement value of 21 but a dismounted cavalry unit can mount up and only have a movement value of 12? I would think that it would be more difficult for the artillery battery to get going... |

1 - Why is night time fatigue inflicted upon units that move in the first dawn turn? The first dawn turn does not include any night time, and the fatigue isn't imposed upon units moving in the second or third dawn turn. A mistake or a logical reason? 2 - When using the Alt key to move a cavalry unit... |

In the 1390 turn campaign scenario, I have found that when opponents use the Alt key to move large amounts of units together then the replay is usually 6-12 minutes, but if my opponent moves each unit individually then the replay can last more than 45 minutes. That makes a huge difference during the... |

Looking for a couple of opponents (either Reb or Yank will do) with one preferably being at the Overland Campaign 1390 turn scenario with me commanding the Rebs (already have one of this scenario going with me commanding the Yanks) but will entertain either side at any other large battle. I play wit... |

We started the game Nov 10th. Not going to swear by the following but there are several registered games that were longer than this one: 1 - 511 turns - Chicky - A Campaign Game (Mihalik-Ross) 2 - 407 turns - Penin - Seven Days Campaign (Tremel-Noftz) 2 - 407 turns - Penin - Seven Days Campaign (Ful... |

It was a hard fought game. This is a scenario that should be a lot of fun for members of the club. If you are the type to charge 'em from the opening bell, you probably won't play this scenario much regardless of which side you choose (would be like Grant at Cold Harbor); but if you like to use stra... |

Appreciate the answers, Ken, but I've been giving consideration to the answers for a while and some of them just don't appear (to me) to be copacetic. That's not a knock on your answers, at all, but pertains to stuff that is above our pay grades. IF breastworks, forest, towns, elevations, etc impact... |

1. When breastworks are 'built', it is obvious which side that they protect because a breastwork goes up on that particular hexside. However, when trenches are 'built', the trench appears down the middle of the hex. Does the trench protect against all sides of the hex? 2. You can have more than one ... |

Normal. I've always assumed that it was programmed that way because if it were real life, your skirmishers only knew that some one was out there, not knowing if it was friend or foe. We as gamers know that it is foe, but in the 1860s, they wouldn't have. |

How will the players know if the scenario is using Standard Objective, Variable Objective, Per Turn Accrual, or Variable Per Turn Accrual? Will it be noted in the Parameter Table or the Scenario Description or by some other means such as the color of the VP hex? |

A little strange that the new position works for the President but is selected by the Cabinet, but I could take either side of that and defend it. Nothing is a problem when everyone gets along fine, but will it work if there are conflicts between the President and members of the Cabinet? I say Yes b... |
