Gentlemen of the American Civil War Game Club, For those who don’t know (or remember) who I am, allow me to introduce myself. I started in the hobby of Civil War games with a paper map game, “Great Battles of the American Civil War”. For a Civil War buff like me, those were wonderful. The biggest pr... |

General Sands, I had the honor of meeting you and your lovely wife and joining the two of you for lunch at what I think was the third "Tiller Con", held in Franklin, Tennessee. You were the 'old man' that every one looked up to even at the time! Congratulations on your 'retirement' from th... |

And if anybody asks about that fire in the VMI dormitory ... you and I had nothing to do with it! |

Gentlemen,
I had the pleasure to meet General Dragan in person, and I feel a great sorrow at this loss. He was a kindred spirit.

I'll give y'all a hint: All the Rebs are standing on one side of the fence, and all the Yanks are standing on the OTHER side of the fence. |

This was a photo of five ACWGC members, taken in 2004 at the Antietam National Battlefield. This photo only includes first names. I'll buy a round of drinks in honor of the first person who correctly identifies all five. |

Gentlemen,
Thank you all for the responses. We have the players needed for my 'training session'. Once this completes (assuming I 'graduate! lol), another post will be made for a full-blown Tessier-style battle.
Your humble servant, Gen 'Dee Dubya' Mallory |

I'm old and the brain/memory was questionable even when I was younger, but that's the first I've heard of an Observer Corps. But anyway, I'm one of those that have doubts about this idea also. Even, or especially, if it was popular; who trains them if they are new, who adds them to the list/DOR and... |

I think what General Simms is saying is that it really doesn't matter if two players are from the same 'side' or not - so long as they are playing a game, why not give them full points for the game? |

For something to think about while most of us sit in isolation, there is no check in the system to make sure that maneuvers are not registered as battles. Since no one seems to really care, why don't we do away with maneuvers? There is no need in some abiding by club rules and getting half points w... |

Gentlemen, I’m going to float an idea by you all. If it receives the response I expect, I will put in the work to make a formal presentation to the Cabinet, but it will require quite a bit of work that I don’t want to do unless it seems to be a popular idea. This club was designed for role-playing o... |

I have heard that alcohol can kill this COVID-19 virus. Of course, the dang bug causes all its damage on the INSIDE, so ... the best treatment is to get all the alcohol INSIDE us as possible.

Gentlemen,
FYI: I neglected to mention that we will be using a modified scenario from the Gettysburg game for this session. In order to watch the replay, all players will need to have the latest version (3.0) of John Tiller's "Campaign: Gettysburg". |
