Gentlemen, This is getting even weirder: We are playing in multi-phase mode (movement, DF, OF, melee). I've advanced my turn to the Offensive Fire phase, but whenever I attempt to fire a unit, some OTHER unit 'auto fires'. I've checked all the options on the tool bar that would seem to have any effe...

Gentlemen, I've returned from my Mississippi Valley Review and I'm ready and raring to get back to the battles my opponents so graciously put on hold for me. Unfortunately, I've run across something that I need help with. I'm in an HPS Gettysburg game, and I've somehow turned on the switch that move...

General Zapp, We're pulling for you. General Andy Burke has agreed to serve as interim AoG commander while you're incapacitated, so you can rest assured that your army is in good hands. Your humble servant, LGen 'Dee Dubya' Mallory David W. Mallory ACW - Lieutenant General, Chief of the Armies, Conf...

Confederate Officers: I'm packing my carpetbags and trunks for the Mississippi Valley review. In my absence, Generals Johann Huels and Ian Rousell, CSA Theater Commanders, will be in command. Of course, administrative work will continue to be done by General Chris Cross, CSA Chief of Staff, which me...

Chief Watie, Here's the address for their web site: http://members.tripod.com/~MCWRA/ And let me say, on behalf of the Great White Chief in Richmond, Virginia, our Confederate soldiers will be proud to stand next to your warrior braves and fight for liberty against the United States oppressors any t...

Chief Watie, For the area you're in, I recommend you track down the Missouri Civil War Reenacting Association. (The name should really be 'Midwest' Civil War Reenacting Association, since they typically do reenactments in Arkansas, Kansas, Illinois, and Oklahoma, but it was apparently started by guy...

Chief Watie, I don't know exactly what you're asking. In club terms, each officer is allowed to select a nickname for the 'brigade' he is assigned to. You could choose a nickname from among the various historic Cherokee units, if you like. There is nothing forbidding a change of unit nicknames later...

Lt. Boyd, Good questions. I believe General Walter has answered them very well, with the exception of #2 (What happens to fatigue? Does fatigue return to zero at the next battle?). My experience has been, "It depends". I won a hard-fought battle at Corinth, but all those units started the next scena...

Chief Watie, I agree with General Walter, for the most part. I have known of club members who chose, for whatever reason, to not use their 'real' names (General S.A.T. Freedman was one). The main thing is that you be a member of the club to post, and that you post with your club name and rank. Once ...

Officers of the Confederacy, FYI, if you have any questions about OBD points, promotions, etc., please direct them to me. You may 'cc' General Cross, my Chief of Staff, but please -- I don't pay him enough to handle all the work AND put up with guff. That's why *I* make the big bucks [:D] ! I do wan...

Gentlemen, On Sunday, April 24, I will leave for a 2-week tour of Southern plantations and fortifications up and down the Mississippi River, including New Orleans, Natchez, St. Francisville, and Vicksburg. My wife of 25 years will accompany me. (Shhh, "Mum's the word!" SHE thinks we're going ...
