One war at a time. I'm not advocating anything Sherman did to the Native American...but we were talking about the Civil War and Sherman's total war against the South.
I think what Sherman was saying was that this all could be ended by the surrender of their armed forces.

I can't remember the book I was reading (I think it was The War For The Common Soldier) but the author made a point to write something to the effect of, "...both sides praying to the same God for victory." Just a sentence that always stuck out it me.

I use an external CD ROM and connect it via USB. As far as the compatibility for Windows, I believe you are still able to set what version of Windows you want it to operate under in the program file.
