...if anyone has an inside to John Tiller / HPS... It's great that we can highlight the different contours, but it would also be helpful sometimes to be able to highlight just all hex outlines in the closest zoom mode (or at least have them be darker and more visible) - the current color of them mak...

Seems Gen. Ringbloom has something ELSE on his mind this morning...don't think they'll be putting any of that in the new series... ;-)

Has anyone ever experimented with trying to balance scenarios by adjusting the slider at the beginning of a battle that affects how many casualties a particular side deals? Does it seem to work fairly well, or is it not worth the trouble of trying to find the 'right' level?

I guess I should have marked "Other" as there were really two choices that would've fit me. Family Obligations and Geographical Considerations. Not really a struggle between the two - the last 10+ generations of my immediate family line has lived in the South, so either way it's the same s...

Same issue. The link in the index frame works. The link in the main page window points to a different location and gives an error when you click on it.

The index link points to "RBC Rules V2.html". The main window link points to "Rules-And-Points.xhtml".

I do hear tell that Gen Olinsky is a pretty good general, but do not tell him that as his head is already way to big for his hat - if we make it any bigger he won't be able to get though the forum door

General, that might not be all that bad...more whiskey for the rest of us... ;-)

Looking forward to picking this one up in the next couple of days and reading through it. I must admit that Stonewall and Gen. Lee have always been two men whose lives I've admired and wanted to know more about...

A what-if: would France have eventually invaded the south?

I think it's probably a safe bet that not only would France have invaded the South eventually, but England might have invaded the North.

General McOmish, Suh, What the good Yankee is trying to say is that the link in the menu bar on the webpage works just fine, but the link in the main frame of the webpage to the Rules and Scoring Summary does not work - even with Firefox. At least, that's what I found when I went to the site. Regards,

I'm curious to know others' thoughts on the background music for the HPS series games. Which songs are the 'best' ones they included? Which ones are the worst? How have you modified your game to play the music YOU like? Limited though my game library is at the moment, the worst set of music files fo...

I agree. Mathematically, the Colonies couldn't have won the American Revolution, either. I think the South could have won, had they fought a purely defensive war and ground down the Northern will to fight. I'll have to go with the biggest misconception being that the Emancipation Proclamation gave t...

I'm hoping the general help file will answer most/all of my questions (having to download the software to view it), but is there anyone who is familiar enough with the scenario editors that they could give me some pointers? I'm wanting to do a bit of research and develop a campaign for the American ...

I need to see if I can find the history I read that in, then, and see what exactly it said Laws was thinking. Maybe the Union line was closer to the Round Tops on Days 1/2? I can't remember. Thanks for clearing that up!
