Thought a bit about how Napoleonic and CW simulate combat and I think the higher rates in Napoleonic might come from the fact that, at least according to Bill Peters, Melee is basically the advance on the enemy and can depict various things not only Bayonet attack bu... |

To the starting post, basically a unit is not allowed to do anything(moving for example) or anything done to it(fire upon it for example), if that is so the unit recovers fatigue at the start of the next turn. Now I posted it already on a different thread but here the problem with recovery of fatigu... |

I revive this thread as I currently also scratch my head about how all this fatigue stuff works, especially in view of the optional recovery rule and whether that should or should not be used. Yea sometimes it can look strange, currently I simply have no clue what impacts the triggering of defensive fire except that the OR "Proportional Opportunity Fire" seems to make it more likely for bigger stacks to trigger defensive fire, but otherwise no clue, may simply be randomly but I ... |

units can shoot more than once (when playing turn based with this rule on) and each shot is at 100%. Sorry Jim but thats not really how it works, to be sure I just tested it and I can confirm my interpretation. The manual speaks of half-strength fire value when defensive fire is computer controlled... |
