Good day gentlemen, Just finished scenario 103 "Bull Run, July 21st, 1861 (Sectional)"(that is the same as 009 1BR_Bull Run V.7 but with weather) from "Campaign Antietam" and it went quit good for me what that made me wonder as I didn't expect this on my first game to be the case... |

Unless there is a change in Turn play handling I am pretty sure the "or" is wrong. Units that have casualties due to defensive fire can only be disrupted by it. Units that have casualties due to offensive fire or melee can only be routed by it. Thanks for the input, I saw that on my move ... |

Now can anyone explain the fatigue losses accumulated by melee? From the manual, p.27: "Melee fatigue losses are 50% more than normal and, in the case of the melee loser, fatigue losses are double." From the manual, p.39: "Fatigue results are calculated as random values between the ca... |

This thread is intended to clarify some passes of the manual, I hope this will also help other members especially new ones so they keep on going. I'm glad that the engine seems to be a bit easier the Napoleonic series and I found less problematic passages compared to it but still some things are not... |

Good day, I thought I start a thread to collect some nice videos of Civil War dioramas. For the start: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bD0XuO3Su8 Awful camerawork & low resolution but still a huge and interesting looking diorama. Now this one seems smaller but its a high quality video and some v... |

Thanks. Too bad that the "Brigade Color" feature doesn't seem to use any base. It just colors a square below the unit, a pity that the bases are not used. |

Well from the readme for that scenario I get the impression that the movement costs were adjusted to simulate the effects of the weather. But the weather feature itself is not used, usually weather data can be found before the weapon data but here this is all we can find: Weather None There are just... |

Wasn't the weather feature introduce with "Campaign Atlanta"?
The guys from the Old Banshee team did weather versions of the stock scenarios for 2 games(Ozark & Gettysburg), maybe they release more for the rest of the missing. |

Thanks for the insight. You as designer can surely answer this, what is usually taken as base for the view range? Seem to me that the high ranges, not only in the CW series but also in the Napoleonic series seem to be based on using some form of binoculars or telescope, I wonder how common that was ... |

Yes a higher degree of LOS realism and stronger FoW would be nice. Currently I don't have a clue whether the terrain plays a role at all in what is show to the player. I have the feeling that especially the area just below the maximum view range were the player at best sees a question mark on the ma... |

Speaking of intelligence, wasn't also the map material not the best for a drive into Maryland and Pennsylvania? Can't find it at the moment but I think I read somewhere about the lack of good maps. |
