1) A fairly late muster of 1st Div. commander. I also with to report the following. (LTG LAABS)

2) Is a response 'here' okay? I am present and still alive after we totaled the supply wagon. FROM MARK ADAMS

3) Sir,

I am alive and well and taking a leave of absence. However, I am continuing to read the dispatches as they arrive. I hope to rejoin the fray in the Summer.

Respectfully,

MG Lawrence Bertolino

3 Musters to report in one posting.

Fine with me. LtG. Jim Garner, AoM Commanding

Sir <salute>!

A rider from Greg Davis' command has arrived to my tent reporting that he is present, but unable to find our Headquarters. I'll send a small detachment to guide him in.

Yours respectfully,

I hope that the supply wagon totaled by Mark Adams did not contain alcohol - if it did there will be trouble

I saw the whole thing happen. It was just awful. Mark was drinking quite a bit and then began to argue with one of the horses about which one of them could drink more. More words were exchanged with the horse and Mark declared himself the winner. He then hitched his new best friend to his supply wagon and began down the road. Neither one of them was in any condition to see straight - let alone go galloping up a dark road at night. The horse was headed in the right direction but Mark insisted he knew a short cut over the gorge.

Well the horse managed to jump the gorge but the wagon never had a chance. Mark managed to jump from the wagon to safety on a tree limb ten feet down in the gorge. The horse's harness busted and he was spared when the wagon fell fifty feet down and busted on the rocks of the creek below.

The good news is that Mark and the horse are alright and best of drinknig buddies again. All of the alcohol dumped in the creek marinated the fish and the men are enjoying fishing like never before.
