| Post subject: | Hooper Takes a Leave |
Gentlemen, Our esteemed former Army Commander, and current Corps Commander, is taking a short leave from the Club until November. Being a family man he is once again filling the most important role any Man can fill - Dad! His sons are involved in summer and fall sports and he has decided to concentrate on personal matters for the time being. In his absence III Corps will be led by its senior Division Commander, Maj. Gen. Owen Evans, who will handle any admin issues within the Corps. Once Hooper returns in November he will take his position again at the head of the III Corps. My thanks to Evans for his part in stepping up to help lead III Corps. Not that the vaunted Cavalry Corps of this Army needs much help. Give them a full compliment of ammunition, three-days rations, a fresh horse, and some Yankee gold and they will be off raiding, drinking, fighting, and causing hell! Of course that happens even before they leave camp - but you can imagine what they do once they ride out! |
