To all Gator Alley, AotM and 1st Div, AotC participants in the Round Robin Tournament <salute>

Gentlemen,

It is my pleasure to announce the conclusion of my first battle in the tournament vs. Lt. Colonel Tim Simondson of the 1st Infantry Division, AotC. Although Union hopes were severly dashed, it is my wish to convey just how much I appreciate the manner in which Colonel Simondson conducted himself throughout the very exciting contest. Cordial, communicative in all respects, and timely with file exchanges even though plagued with some computer problems, Colonel Simondson was for me a delight to get to know and share some fun. And I say this without any reservation, few if any former opponents I have met play with the ferocity and "keep on a come'in" style as exhibited by Colonel Simondson. Across the field of battle I salute you sir!

General Reneau <salute>

Congratulations, suh! It is good to read your positive impression of your opponent and I'll buy each of you a round should we all meet at the tavern sometime.

Gents,

I rode by to see if Major General Peek had posted a "normal" picture of Brig. General Tim Reneau yet.

Tim has never been what I'd refer to as normal... he's rather exceptional... in a good way, of course!

I was curious if he'd be wearing Tennessee Volunteer Orange...

Gentlemen <salute>

A recently intercepted dispatch revealed that Lt. Col. Olinsky was attempting to recruit gators into joining the Yankee army in an attempt to form an "elite" division. Our officer told him where to put his request

Are the battlefield skills so poor in the Yankee army that they resort to enticing Confederates to switch sides? Olinsky went on to quote this or that rule on recruiting an elite division where members are chosen or discarded based on their abilities and performance. Blah, blah, blah.

Gather your "elite" unit; we'll be waiting.

What is that horrid smell? It must either be the smell of fear... or of unwashed Tennesseans!

Brig. General Moore,
Tom,

I've received your application with regards to the Recruiting Poster seen above.

Have you gotten the permission of your illustrious Division Commander granting you permission to leave his Division? I've reviewed your resume and you seem to have the qualifications that I am looking for. Your resume was much more polished than Major General Peek's or Brig. General Reneau's but the dilemma I'm facing is if I let one Gator Alley Officer off the hook... allowing them to escape imminent destruction ... then what prevents a mass exodus from occurring?

I shall have to give this matter further consideration... I will let you know when I've made my decision!

Go Buffaloes!

Suh, my complements!

I'm afraid you've mistaken the application from "Dinty Moore". I have in my possesion Brigadier General' Moore's rejection of you private solitication to join your attempt to disrupt our fine division. Generals Reneau and Peek would sooner suffer from an ear infection than join your cause.

Your "First Division" is faltering, bring on your second.

Officer's of the Army of the Mississippi,

Lt General Ringbloom was cleaning out his HeadQuarters this afternoon and he found a trunk with some war trophies from early on in the war.

There was this most amazing battle flag that had been captured from the Army of the Mississippi... from back in it's heyday! You know when you Confederates still believed you had a chance of winning this conflict? 8)

Come on by and take a look for yourselves!

If you stop by "The Winchester Arms"... feel free to have a drink on my tab!

Site looks very good, suh! I'd drop by the Winchester Arms, but I hear tell that you gentlemen keep cats in the place.

Major General Hebert,

I am NOT a cat lover! Bring Nicodemus by the Winchester Arms if you would... and he'll resolve any cat issues that may exist!

Highest regards,

Okay, I only now "read" this. Is there a Gator Newsletter or something? Because I never got it. I mean I know I am no Gator Alley member technically... but you know... give a guy a break
