I haven't got the Forgotten Battles title but if it reflects historical numbers then Brice's Cross Roads should be a tough assignment for our side.

I'm surprised to see it considered a 'forgotten' battle as it one of Forrest's greatest victories, probably the greatest. In that battle Forrest was outnumbered more than 2:1 and had no infantry or guns (perhaps a few small field pieces) but attacked. End result: Forrest took most of their guns and other equipment and supplies while Yankee casualties were more than four times those suffered by the Confederates. A truly outstanding victory.

All is well in the east as I battle it out near Richmond (Overland 417-640528: Fourth Epoch [1864]).

I am also commanding a fine force in the west (Corinth cf_c3u1 Battle of Grand Junction [1862]).

Both appear to be great scenarios and are recommended. I'm unsure of victory thus far although Grand Junction is looking promising despite having several less than able units (F-grade State troops from Missouri). We just took some more Yankee guns to add to the collection.

so far in the Border Madness I have 2 major losses.......070-640610 - (H) Brice's Cross Roads with E Cooke and 051-640220-(H)Olustee.20: Battle of Olustee with K Crist
any bourbon to wash the taste away?

I just checked the tournament results for Brice's Cross Roads (two matches appear to be unfinished). Only one Confederate member was able to secure victory - well done Gerald Jensen. I think it was a big ask to require our wargamers to emulate Forrest. As I said earlier, "it one of Forrest's greatest victories, probably the greatest ... A truly outstanding victory."

Olustee also looks like a hard one for us. The Union bested us there too (US-5, CS-3): a rare thing.

The battles in the Forgotten Campaigns are a tough road to hoe!

I just yesterday lost a Major Defeat at Cain Hill against Major General George Denney.
My forces were badly outnumbered, no ammo for the artillery and the back door was wide open

Misery loves company
Just lost to Frank Ward at Pleasant Hill

I routed a good number of his troops
but ran out of ammo @ halfway through the battle

we ended up throwing rocks against his boys
in their counter attacks

our losses were comparable, but the Dark side won, and I have to give them their due...
