Army of Tennessee November Newsletter

Gentlemen,
I hope all of you are well and safe as we are about to enter into the holiday season. However, given that the years’ final tournament has begun, I imagine there is some tough fighting along the line. Best of luck to you all!

Administration Work:
Unfortunately, JJ Jansen had to take a leave of absence, which not only leaves the III Corps commander vacant but also his old command of II Division III Corps. Gentlemen, I ask that anyone, regardless of corps, to please step afford and assume the command of either unit. Please notify me as soon as possible. If I cannot obtain any candidates, I may have to have some reorganization or seek outside support.

I have also updated the Corps roster to reflect personnel changes. I ask my Corps/Division commanders to check through the attached file to make sure everything reflects reality.

Happy Hour
This month’s happy hour will occur on Monday 28 November at 8:30 pm. The topic of discussion will be short games/small maps.

Grant & Lee Field Fortifications in the Overland Campaign.
I picked this up at the Fredericksburg Battlefield, and it offers an in-depth view of trench warfare in the Civil War era. Very insightful.

1.) If you have not seen the newest All Quiet on the Western Front on Netflix, do yourself of favor and watch it. It does an exceptional job of presenting warfare as a horror film as opposed to an action-adventure. 10/10

2.) Civil War relating, check out this episode of Civil War combat on 1st Manassas. This is the beginning to a great series. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2ghgo- ... AyK2Dbkz-T
