Did someone say free drinks?

Yes, I'd love to toast Robert E. Lee! And while were at at let us toast to each and every commander in the Confederacy.

I trust Cameron's money is good in this tavern.

Well done, Fld. Lt. Shore. You have a good eye for detail.

Of course Marse Robert would never have set foot in a place like Ms. Clarissa's, and he would never have condoned having any of his officers spend their pay on spirited beverages and loose women. Still, at least part of what you may have heard in camp on this topic is true: on Robert E. Lee's Birthday, and on every other day, as far as we can tell, Generals Blake and McOmish appear to honor his memory by not spending their own pay in the Taverns. This is a tradition Junior Officers are not expected to observe...just be advised.

Carry On,

I would happily spend my own money to buy you all drinks.

Unfortunately I left my wallet in my other uniform.

You seem to forget I offered to pay the bill for all of the drinks at last weeks gathering of the Anti-Yankee League of Officers of the Southeast Division of the First Order of George Washington meeting.

How was I to know the barkeep didnt accept Spanish doubloons? Anyone could make that mistake.
