Ah ha! Still here Gen McOmish! Your liver must be made of steel.
Welcome to the ANV Sir.

Which liver are you refering to Suh - the first was made of steel, but it only lasted a week and a half. I now have one made of ceramic - so far so good

Ah so we cannot galvanise you - what is Gen Blake a reverse galvanised Reb?

I am not entirely too sure what Blake is, is there a real term for a Reb who becomes a yank, other than traitorous scum. At some stage I must challenge him to a duel – never played him in a manoeuvre

Ahh.. Cameron! Have we never played a game? Feel free to contact me at anytime you are brave enough to get such a severe beating. I am most anxious to see your tactics on the field of battle! According to the Union files on you... and I quote...

"Has a tendency to attack his own lines."

"Insists on using Cavalry to capture every tavern on the map."

"Never mounts his officers as he insists no officer be able to mount until he is sober enough to do so himself."

Blake I have never been a big believer in tactics, John Bell Hood said they were not worth a drot, and that the only order worth a damn was CHARGE - it makes life dang easy 8)

Charge?

You'd be a fine sight trying to lead a charge stumbling across the battlefield with a bottle in one hand, a broken sword in the other, and your pants tied around your neck as a cape!

It'd be just like your last wedding.

I will have you know young Blake that "leading a charge stumbling across the battlefield bottle in one hand, a broken sword in the other, and your pants tied around your neck as a cape" has broken many a union line and if that fails then I just let them smell my breath. I have had a few weddings so they are starting to blur somewhat

Gentlemen

We are agog at these tales of derring do on the battlefield. What will my younger officers of the ANV think?
Reminds me of the time Gen Blake and his Western compadres where taken on a tour of the finest establishments in Richmond.
The ANV slush fund had to make good on a huge amount of damages - financial as well as reputational!
First time I ever saw a drunken cowboy on an even drunker horse (or was it a gator?) swinging from the chandeliers in Miss Julia's. The jump from the top of the staircase was even more impressive. Come to think of it that gator/horse had long furry legs - oh sorry my ADC has just advised that that was Gen McOmish - sorry Sir.
