Good evening officers, <salute> I would like to introduce myself, Fld. Lt. Joe Matthews, as your latest green lieutenant in this fine army! I am have just joined the VMI class of 2013 and will fondly remember my times in those revered halls. My pending assignment to a command is eagerly awaited, but in the meantime I raise a toast of fine Tennessee whisky to, and salute the bravery of all the fine officers and gentleman that fight for the Army of Georgia, and the the land of Dixie! Welcome aboard, Fld. Lt. Matthews. I have sent a runner over to your tent. He may smell a bit like spam, many of the runners from the Army of Georgia do. Occupational hazard. Meanwhile, you might as well go on up to the muster roll at the front door. Sign in for October and have some bark juice. May be your last one for a spell. Salute! |
